Feeling like a king, with sophisticated hands. In this period of time, men want to look sophisticated. No businessman wants to be turned down on a great deal, because of his unsophisticated hands. In the world of business, hands are one of the most important things.
Your hands are where you write with, so there’s going to be looked at in meetings and all sorts of stuff. No wonder men are willing to go and have a manicure, but whenever they’re in a salon, they feel looked at by the women. It’s very uncomfortable and very girly. That’s exactly what the makers of hammer and nails thought. So they made a nail salon for men only. The interior is very manly and you’re treated like a king. Every chair, which isn’t the ordinary spa chair but more like a big leather kings chair, has an own flat screen. You can enjoy your favorite game while you’re being treated.
They’re lots of different manicures to choose from for the perfect, sophisticated hands. This is cool, because men finally have their own place, where they can feel manly though having a manicure. Or would you rather say a MANicure. It’s not only for women anymore. Men like to be sophisticated just as much, but they just don’t want to feel like their manhood is slipping away because of this. Hammer and nails is the perfect solution.The shop doesn’t exist for that long – 2013 – so a lot of men probably aren’t aware of it yet.
For the future I feel like there will be a lot more shops like this one. Once men are aware of this, it will be less intimidating for them to have a manicure. There’s a move towards a genderless society, where men and women do all the same things, no matter what gender you are. For now, both genders still like to protect their own gender, but they also want to do the same things. That’s what you see in this concept.
