Society can take care of itself

Have you ever imagined how it would be like to live in a house that is a 100% self-regulating? You won’t be dependent of external factors anymore. You couldn’t be more individual in living to be honest.
Well, if you like that thought, your dreams might be coming true in the very near future. There’s a whole concept of these self-regulating buildings. These are little units –so called boxes- that regulate their own electrics and temperature.
The boxes are quite small. You can choose to live, work or just use it as an atelier or something, in one box, but if you have a bigger family or you want more space, you can buy more boxes and attach them to each other. As soon as you’re done with your design, you can just make it look different very easily, because they’re all temporary unit buildings.
The cool thing about this is, that you can kind of be your own designer of your house. Nobody tells you how to use your units, nobody tells you where to place them, cause you can easily move them. You’ll be the individual whose house is exactly how the individual itself is.
For the future it might turn the society even more individualistic. The possibilities for an individual are getting bigger and bigger and we should ask ourselves if we actually want that. For living it might turn out in great contrast. Our own house will be individualistic, but maybe we’ll want our public spaces to be one big socialize space.
What do you think?
